other not knowing that this would be the first and last time they

There were 24
players in the race. But only 12 were lucky enough to continue for
leg 2 of the race. Still, they couldn't do anything about it could
they? The go signal was given...

And they were
off.... competing for the top 12 spots in order to continue the
race. The first leg was the easiest part of the race. It is made up
with the easiest challenges. They were simply instructed to go to
different web sites and get some information to get their next clue.
It was an elimination leg determining who out of the 24 people would
be fast enough to make it to the final 12 who will go on playing the
race.
The order is
as follows (left). This was the order of the arrival of players in
the first pit stop.

the season's runner-up was first with a very good time. The other
players followed as is.
Tensions rise
as players who were not eliminated tease the eliminated players..

It wont let me complete the detour, I'm not a quitter I spent an
hour trying to do it and it just wont work on my computer so
unfortunately I have to quit the race. Well I didn't get to finish
it because I did the detour 4 times and it wasn't working on my PC
so that's unfortunately what I waited an entire month for. I'm
extremely disappointed, I'm the only one that it didn't work for so
whatever.
Apparently, he
tried and gave his all to surpass the detour, yet his efforts weren't
good enough to let him pass the challenge. He was stuck and decided
quit.

What happened to you in this leg of the race?: Well I started off
knowing that it was going to be hard... and I was right! Right off the
bat I couldn't find the first website... but I managed to get past that
and move on...
Leg 2 came and
players were enjoying the race at its peak.

What happened to you in this leg of the race?: I got screwed big time
here- I tried to go for the FF, because I'd played Crimson Room before.
Sadly, I was too slow. The most exciting part was the HTF video.
Leg 3 and the
player's numbers were slowly dwindling down.
Brittany has quit
the race in this leg due to the Fast Forward which she said was screwed
up. Still, orgloverchris got the fast forward in this leg proving that
the challenge was indeed fixed and not broken. Nobody was eliminated in
this leg due to Brit's decision of quitting the race.
What the players
did not know is that this is the last leg of the race which can be
called "easy". After this, they would need to work hard for their
position in the race. Still, being an easy leg, some players are having
difficulties already...

ouch a lot of tricky sh*t. I decided to read the O's in the song.
biiiiiig mistake! I got 75 and it didn't work so I tried everything then
78 worked. everything else was ok ;)

this leg was the worst so far...so tricky!
Leg 4 came and the
great equalizer in the race delayed
kaizer00, who has been leading the race since leg 1. It was 12:07am EST
when she departed Pit Stop #3 and journeyed to leg #4. But at leg #4, an equalizer awaits. After getting a clue, the players have to
click on a door to enter it. Inside, a note reads:

Being delayed by
some precious minutes,
kaizer00 was still not overcome by this delay and still got first place
in the 4th pit stop assuring her a great win!

other players.... Meanwhile, back on Pit Stop #3......

They were beginning
to doubt their position in the race. But what kaizer00 didn't know is
that the hardest leg is leg 5, specially a challenge in that leg wherein
you have to answer a question. The only catch is, this question is
written in sign language.

There was calmness
when no players were in any pit stops. All were engaging in the race.
While at the Finish Line, an eliminated player from leg 1 waits with the
host to see who the winner is...

It was a real time
online game that made this exciting thing possible. The race ended out
very much unexpectedly
as blackcanary8 reaches the finish line first. It was a very exciting
season. A season made exciting by the players themselves and even
more by the situations happening in the race. It was The Amazing
Online Race!

When I sped into the final pit stop of the race I saw Pat waiting
there and my first thought was where in the world did he come from,
but then the host told me that I was the first player to arrive.
There was an initial moment of shock and disbelief. Then I was
jumping around in celebration. I knew from the start that there was
some tough competition here tonight so I'm just thrilled to know
that I did such a great job. This was truly a fantastic race. Robert
did such a great job planning everything out. I'm glad that I got a
chance to be a part of it.

Well, I made it to the final leg of the race. I came in 6th out of
24, which is better than I thought I'd do! It was an awesome race,
and I can't wait for the next one!

I'm proud to have reached the final leg at 5th place. I expected it,
but whatever. I'm very happy I made it to the top 5, at least. It
was VERY fun! Thanks everyone!

This race I started off getting stuck in the sign language challange...Then
I got stuck on the logo challenge. Overall I was excited and please
when I finished 4th.

This was another occasionally difficult race. I got the most
overwhelmed by the sign language- but after getting about half the
"question" i knew the answer- I've been reading my Tech News- no I'm
not a geek... That was the most exciting part though. Knowing that I
knew the answer. I fed a wrong answer- the "prototype" name of
Windows Vista - Windows Longhorn- to another racer. That was
practice for any mole games I might be in in the future.
Now, the
question:
"Why was the title
of the season: So Near Yet, So Far?"
Has been answered. The victory was really not for kaizer00 this time....
