rules

1. When you apply for the race, please do not forget about the time
and date so that you could play the game. This game is played live which
means you get to race with the other players in real time. The time and
date for Season 20 is:
July 25, 2005; Monday,
11pm EST. This
game may last up to 1am because it is actually made to run for 2 hours.
2. You should not send any Instant Messages from AIM to the host
during the race asking for help. There will be no help given to the player
from the host in any point of the race. This is because of the following
reasons:
 |
the host gets
interrupted
|
 |
players in the pit
stops starts to get time delays because of interruptions
|
 |
the host gets instant messages
from the players all the time and all at the same time
|
 |
the game gets
unorganized |
Please
send instant messages to the host only when you are asked to.
3.
You
cannot ask the host for any clue not even the very
first clue in case you lost your clues. Instead,
you could ask it from the other players whom you will be meeting on the day
of the race. Helping other players in the race is allowed.
4. When your application has been accepted, you will receive an
e-mail from the host telling you that your application has been accepted and
that you are ready to play the race. A special link will be given to
you where you will undergo a special player briefing before the race starts.
5.
You must be online on the time of the race. If you are not,
then, you won't be able to play. Players who are late are not being waited
for. The race will start at the exact time of the race.
6.
You must agree to
receive e-mails from the host occasionally reminding you about the race
and updating you with some information. Your e-mail address and your
personal information will not be shared
with other people. It will be confidential to the host only so do not
worry about giving your information. It will be safe.
7. The AIM screen
name you enter in the application form must be the AIM screen name
you use on the day of the race. You may not change this. On the day of the
race, you must log into AIM and wait in a chat room where the host will
invite you in until the race starts.
8.
Please observe proper behavior in the chat rooms/pit stops with the other
players while playing this game. Please do not say any offensive language
or misbehave in any of the pit stops and chat rooms you will be into.
9.
This happens every season since season 1, CONFUSION and FRUSTRATION.
This game guarantees you 100% that you will get mad in one point of the race.
Please don't spill all your anger to the host. A few players get angry at
the host because they get very frustrated. They tend to say "bad words" to
the host in
some points of the race. (although it's funny for some of the players
to freak out, it is not a nice thing to do).
10. If you plan to quit the
race, then you may simply press the "quit race
button". You will see this button each time you receive your
clue.
information

1. When your application is accepted, you will receive an e-mail
message from the host. It contains a link to a special player briefing
which is only for the players who have been accepted. This is very important and it
contains more information not stated here in the rules which makes it very
important to
read. You must read the player briefing when you receive the e-mail saying
that you have been accepted. If you are not accepted, you will not receive
any e-mail from the host.
2. This game is not like any other games. This is a real time
online game which will be played only in 2 hours. In other words, it is a
live game. You will be playing when the other players are also online. Due
to uncontrollable circumstances, this game might extend to a maximum of 3
hours, but this race is really made to fit for 2 hours.
3. Even though this race is
individual, you will be named as a team. Your AIM screen name will
automatically be your
Team Name.
4. The race consists of 5
legs, 4 pit stops and contains only 2 fast forward passes in random legs
of the race.
5. At the end of each
leg, you will have to stay for exactly 10 minutes inside a pit stop.
This pit stop is a chat room wherein you will be able to talk to other
teams also in the pit stop. After 10 minutes, you will then be able to
proceed to the next leg. The host will be giving you your clue.
